No, Knesting.com has NO affiliations with IKEA, INGKA Holdings B.V., Inter IKEA Systems B.V. , or any other IKEA legal entity. Knesting.com is an internet only shop that proudly manufactures in the Unites States and sells slipcovers to fit your IKEA furniture. Our products are not made by IKEA or any of its affiliates.
Could you explain the difference between in stock and out of stock orders?
We try to keep as many items as possible in stock so you can enjoy your new purchase as soon as possible. But given the number of models we cover and available fabric options, we sometimes do not have your specific dream combination on hand. When that happens we work our hardest to get your order cut, sewn and to your door as soon as possible. For purchased items NOT in stock, it takes approximately 4 weeks to have your order ready for shipment. You can always see if an item is in stock by looking in the orange box just above the Price and below the "Email to a Friend" link on the item's product page. The current quantity we have in stock will be displayed in the orange box along with the most current lead time for out of stock orders.
Do you take custom fabric orders?
Sadly, we are not able to accept custom orders using a customer’s own fabric, nor do we make custom covers for non-IKEA furniture.

Will you be adding slipcovers for other IKEA® models?
Absolutely! We will be adding models regularly so please sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page to be alerted when new covers are introduced. If there’s a specific model you are interested in, please participate in our community poll or send us a message through the Contact Us page. We use the results of the poll to prioritize which models we add to our slipcover lineup so vote and let your voice be heard! Here’s a list of models we are currently working on:

I have a sofa or chair very similar to an IKEA model. Will your slipcover fit my sofa/chair?
Sadly the answer is no, and that includes the Pottery Barn Basic sofa line. Our slipcovers are precisely tailored to fit a specific IKEA model. Most of those models also have velcro attachment points that our slipcovers line up with to ensure fit.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is only applied to orders shipped to the state of Georgia, our home base.
Which credit cards do you accept?
We are currently only accepting Visa and Mastercard payments through Authorize.net, our secure payment gateway processor. If you prefer to use American Expess or Discover, you can still place an order but will need to select the PayPal option when entering your payment information during checkout.
What is your shipping policy and pricing?
In stock orders typically ship within 2-3 business days. Orders placed that are NOT in stock will take approximately four weeks to get cut, sewn and ready to ship. Please use the Shipping Estimator on each product page to estimate your actual shipping cost. Knesting.com ships via FedEx Home Delivery (see map of transit days below) and the U.S. Postal Service for smaller parcels and international shipments. You will be notified via email once your package has been shipped. If you register for a Knesting.com account, you can login at anytime to review orders and get tracking information.
In stock items usually ship within 2-3 business days, but if any part of an order is out of stock, then the whole order is held until all slipcovers are ready. Once completed, they are combined into one shipment and shipped together. If you would like in stock items to ship before any out of stock items in your shopping cart, we recommend placing two separate orders – one for the in stock items and the other order for items not in inventory that will need to be cut and sewn before shipping.
Please note we currently ship only within the United States and Canada. For shipments going to Canada, please note the customer is responsible for all import duties, taxes, or other related fees upon receipt. Due to the high cost other carriers charge for customs brokerage, Knesting.com currently uses the United States Postal Service international mail service for deliveries to Canada. Depending upon how long it takes for the package to make it through customs, those deliveries can take between 3 to 6 weeks, with 3-4 weeks being the more typical range.

What is your return policy?
Knesting.com wants you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you are unhappy with a purchase, we will exchange the item(s) or refund your money less a 10% restocking fee (for both exchanges & refunds). Please check your order upon receipt! If you would like to return or exchange your purchase, it must be shipped back within 10 business days of receipt after first contacting us. Contact us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (404-580-2456) prior to returning any packages. All returned items must be clean, unused, unwashed and without damage.
There is now a 10% RESTOCKING/CANCELLATION FEE on all returns and exchanges. Any changes in fabric selection made 24 hours after placing an order will also incur a 10% change fee. We have long resisted a restocking fee, but have now had to begin charging the fee due to the number of customers abusing our policy to “temporarily redecorate” for special events or making multiple changes to orders in progress. Since we are a family run small business, we are sadly not able to absorb those costs like larger corporate retailers.
If you have any concerns at all regarding fabric selections and how they will work with your decor, we highly recommend ordering swatches to see the fabrics first hand and to avoid any surprises.
